MCNesclick

A collection of small, vanilla-friendly survival additions: the kind of things you didn't know you were missing until you try them. Everything is tuned from a single config file. For Fabric, NeoForge and Forge, from Minecraft 1.18 to 26.3.

A lit campfire keeps the camp free of monsters

In short

  • Cooked apple: cook an apple in a furnace, smoker or on a campfire. 8 hunger and 12 saturation instead of 4 and 2.4.
  • Emerald and diamond apples: crafted one from the other, from a golden apple. Hero of the Village and Luck before trading, Haste II and Night Vision before mining.
  • Apples from leaves: choose how often oak and dark oak leaves drop apples, and let every other kind of leaves drop them too.
  • Campfire protection: a lit campfire stops hostile mobs from spawning naturally around it, 16 blocks around and 8 above and below by default.
  • Configurable: each feature can be tuned or turned off, and every recipe can be replaced by a data pack, KubeJS or CraftTweaker.

Where to go next

  • Apples: the cooked, emerald and diamond apples, and apples from leaves.
  • Campfire protection: the protected zone, and what it blocks.
  • Configuration: every option with its default, effects, and notes for modpack makers.
